Each to their own approach as always Thrasher👍I tend to be more concerned with the amount of leads, unnecessary tackle/bait/lures etc (along with the size of flask and number of sandwiches) I carry😉
 
It seems I'm rarely if ever right😆 I'll be interested to hear your thoughts - provided you can find it within yourself to drop the patronising git bullocks🤣
 
As my reply to Topwater, just ordered a pair of 13' GT's, Abu Grip-Lok seats and Mighty Bright tip tape... :)

Had to order from Veals, i feel i have betrayed myself as I like to buy my gear from my local tackle shop, but they don't stock Century rods unfortunately, :(.

Abu Grip-Lok reel seats are getting so hard to source now, but I use them on all my rods as I love them. Managed to find some in stock at Rutherford's for £13.99 each, Amazon did have two available, but wanted £18.99 each. :mad:

Rods will be here tomorrow.🎣

What i cant get my head around is why it costs £50 more for an extra 12" of rod, doesn't really equate to me, paid £275 each for the 13''s, but the 14's are £325..:rolleyes:

Yeah, I kinda thought that too. Maybe the wall is a little thicker too since the 14' can chuck an extra Oz?

You could be right mate, but does a little extra Glass justify the £50 extra! Still, i am sure the 13's are going to be cracking rods.. 🎣

They are built for a heavier load, maybe an extra eye and its whipping?...just guessing mind, as abroad atm, so can't count eyes on my carbon tip versions 👍

The 14' and 13' both have eight guides plus tip guide Si, just spaced slightly different... (y)

Feck it, just received an email from Rutherford's Angling, they don't have the Abu Grip-Lok reel seats in stock.. :mad: Didn't state that on the website. Looks like I will have to pay the extra £10 and get them from Amazon..:(
