The Century Fireblade GT's

The longer the better apparently... ;) Rod that is..🤣

Ian.
Why? Not necessary if most of the fish are in the 20-60yds away, unless you are French ;)

I wish Century would bring out a 13ft6/14ft 3-5oz rod either Graphex/Eliminator/Fireblade range like the old TTL/TTSMLD, know the have the TTUL/TTSMLD in graphex but, why only 13ft??
I'd say the Graphex match or supermatch LD would fall into your requirements. Would be perfectly at home casting 4oz.
I have a pair of the regular supermatch and can bend them plenty with 5oz.

I'm not going to purchase a pair, honest... 🤣 🤣

Ian.

Guess what my partner Karen has just bought me, a pair of......Slippers.. 🤣 🤣

Beware, Slippers are the biggest cause of slips, trips & falls in the house known to man!

My Pleasure! Did wonder if she's trying to bump you off!
They won't improve you casting distance, and are not very waterproof either! 😂😂😂

Had a word with Karen, told her what you said, she said she wont swap them for a pair of Fireblade GT's.. 🤣 🤣

And yet Gerry's, Tackle UK and others have them in stock. Could be Veal's new stock wont be available until 20th of this month..

I'm sure these will be of interest to those fishing our local bit of coast. If you concentrated on just the 1st 20 - 60 yards here Beach you'd not catch much! A set up capable of long casting is essential. For me that's built around a low slung multiplier and good old fashioned mono. Yes, I've tried the FS, braid and conti types, but they ain't for me nor many others around these parts. I've always preferred UK glass tipped beachcasters for the way they cast and sit in tide, wind, waves and often weed without breaking out your leads prematurely. I'll be having a cast of the Fireblade GT purely out of curiosity, but doubt I'll purchase one as I still love my older Conoflex, Zziplex and slightly softened Formula Kevlar T T Match rods from back in the day😀
I do have one niggle with the modern Century builds and that is the decals are lacking a coat of resin. I've rebuilt a few that have very little legible writing left! Its a simple and cheap factory solution, so sort it out Chilly!

I must admit my resolve is weakening each day.. 🤣

No Ian, you don't need any more rods. :(

Ian.

If I hadn't bought graphex supermatches, I'd Def get a pair of the new Fireblades to go with my original pair....but now can't really justify a pair I don't think 🤔
A mate had the final version for testing, looked very nice, good tip, and lots of power lower down.

I must resist, i must resist... 🤣 🤣
