Advice Pumpers lube?

50/50 mix washing up liquid / water
IF you are using the alvey black washers, oil turns em to a solid lump of shyte, where as the w/liquid takes a while to do the same

silicone washers, no issues with either, but find wup to be the better option

never had any complaints from the fish ref the taste of lube tho

looks like you have poor fishing that side to only get a few :ROFLMAO:

50/50 washing up liquid and water mix.
I also use liquid paraffin from the chemist.

For washers I use Geocel plumbers flue sealant, they last well.
I use 22mm copper pipe cut into 15mm lengths then have a former with a 6mm rivet poked through from underneath. Plenty of vaseline and a week or so to set.
I have a bag full of acrylic washers that go each side to create a good seal.

Thanks Ian all good info.

I use fairy washing up liquid on my 28mm pump but it’s just died on me so on the lookout for a 22mm pump now

Whilst I am still novice having only acquired a pump in the last month, I have watched a lot of videos and spoken to a few experts, including the guy that made the pump I have. Most recommend fairy, preferably the lemon one rather than green. Green can taint worms apparently but I can't see that being an issue unless you are using loads!

I have heard that veg oil cause sand to stick in the pump more than fairy.
