Looking for advice on rig making and first venue to fish.

Cheap, high margins are possible and very easy to get an account is the explanation I think Tramps

Just had another quick look at their website. No prices unless you create an account and log in.
Reels - All either stuff with their name on, or other unknown brands - no Daiwa, Shimano, Abu or Penn. Much the same story with the Rods. 🙄🙄

Agree. I'm now also a bit wary of tackle shops who choose to stock it.
If they're selling cheap & nasty rigs, what else is

I take it your using light leads or not power casting Wolf? 30lb rig body is very light if not? I use 60lb as a minimum rig body with 5oz and above
Ive used 30lb rig body's for years and never had a problem ,

Ok looking for advice on making my first rigs, best type to make, best line, hooks, clips etc to use. When i get out fishing i will mainly be fishing in South Wales area, Porthcawl, Barry and Newport area. Types of fishing will be a mix of Pier, Beach and rocks. Also on the safety side of things as a newbie could you recommend some areas i could fish on my own. I was thinking of Porthcawl pier on the inside for my first trip. Looks to have easy access with a bit of room to learn casting and baiting up. Thanks in advance for any advice given.
I use three types of rigs. A Mortician rig for the beach, a running leger for piers, harbours, and, breakwaters, and, a Dingle Dangle rig for rough ground. Very simple effective rigs with no bling attached. All these can be found on the internet.

My advice for this evening is to use these CJT power swivels on your rigs. They have never, ever let me down.

... and here I am in a recent pic in full male catalogue model pose to show that I am still alive :)
