I'm Steve mate Yeah in all seriousness I do want to have a look at the Fireblades before I make a decision. I'll take a drive round a few shops tomorrow to see if I can find one with stockYou need a pair I know, but three is better..

Will you still go for the pair for £512, or do you want to waggle a Fireblade GT before you decide ?

Go for the 14' Fireblade GT if you decide on them, that extra 12" makes all the difference Steve.I'm Steve mate Yeah in all seriousness I do want to have a look at the Fireblades before I make a decision. I'll take a drive round a few shops tomorrow to see if I can find one with stock
Feck me, are you psychic..Crocodile tears. Is your name Vennells.
The only problem with the Fireblades is you wont get any leeway on price as far as I know, Century are very strict in that way..I'll give my options a ponder over the weekend and see if I can get a Fireblade GT in my hands to compare
You’ll need a bigger house soon. Or just a separate one for your rodsToo late, its mine. Sorry SirGunner.
Ian.
What a good idea..You’ll need a bigger house soon. Or just a separate one for your rods
Yeah I've noticed that they are the same price wherever you look. £275 13ft £325 14ftThe only problem with the Fireblades is you wont get any leeway on price as far as I know, Century are very strict in that way..
Ian.
You seem to be leaning toward the Fireblades Steve, but in my honest opinion you should really consider the Daiwa's, they were building top quality beach rods long before Century, and bang for buck the Daiwa's cant be beat IMO. And they are also UK built.I did see a 14ft GT for sale a few days ago unwanted gift never cast £299. Dont know if it's still available
Honestly Ian I'm not leaning any direction yet but I do want to see and feel all options before I make a final decision. I know they don't have many fans here but I still really liked the Blackouts also. Too many decent rods to choose from lolYou seem to be leaning toward the Fireblades Steve, but in my honest opinion you should really consider the Daiwa's, they were building top quality beach rods long before Century, and bang for buck the Daiwa's cant be beat IMO.
