If you like the Tronix Blackouts, get them mate, it's you that will be using them, and it's your money and choice. Enjoy your search mate.Honestly Ian I'm not leaning any direction yet but I do want to see and feel all options before I make a final decision. I know they don't have many fans here but I still really liked the Blackouts also. Too many decent rods to choose from lol
If you get the chance, have a waggle of the AFAW Match Pro MK2, very nice rods..Got to go get some bait tomorrow for Sunday so might be back here asking about more models when I return
My father in law fishes with AFAW rods. 6 and bait 13ft . He loves them. How does the Match Pro mk2 compare? If you get the chance, have a waggle of the AFAW Match Pro MK2, very nice rods..

Chalk and cheese Steve, Red label and Blue label, like i said, get your hands on the Match Pro MK2, six n bait no comparison. My father in law fishes with AFAW rods. 6 and bait 13ft . He loves them. How does the Match Pro mk2 compare?
I'll take a look if I can find one. I've seen a few for sale secondhand but pretty much disregarded them as assumed they would be similar to the 6 and bait rangeChalk and cheese Steve, Red label and Blue label, like i said, get your hands on the Match Pro MK2, six n bait no comparison.
Ian.
There not twice the price of the Six n Bait for nothing Steve..I'll take a look if I can find one. I've seen a few for sale secondhand but pretty much disregarded them as assumed they would be similar to the 6 and bait range

There is a Guy called Chris O'Sullivan in the South of Ireland who uses Yuki rods, and he seems to swear by them. I've not even seen one in the flesh! Thanks everyone for your inputs. There are so many options I'm going to have to have a think to decide which way to go I popped into a random tackle shop on way home from work and the guy was raving about Yuki rods. Any opinions on these? (I think I can probably guess lol). Also still no votes for the Tronixpro Blackouts, I'm surprised no one seems to rate them. Are they really such a bad option?
Yeah they're really hard to find at the moment. I have found a shop with a pair in stock and they will do them for £370 each if bought as a pair. I'm currently looking at secondhand Century rods to see if I can find a bargain lolI've just had a look around on Google at the TronixPro competition Blackout rods, and most places are out of stock.
Gerry's had them on offer for £350, but again, out of stock.
A much more reasonable price than I thought too. The standard rod is £325 but custom built £360!They are very nice indeed
