Advice New Rods Advice Needed

At the end of the day mate, it's your money, and your choice, but personally you wont go wrong with the Fireblade GT's, and if budget permitted zziplex M4 GT. JMO.

Ian.

I also had a Daiwa Tournament Pro in my hand today @wingnut55 they are even sexier in the flesh than in the photos 😃
You are not wrong mate, they are excellent rods. You are tempted aren't you.. :)

Appreciate your opinion thanks Ian. So what is it that makes the Ziplex M4GT so special? It seems to be everyone's dream rod

I am very tempted after having a feel of them today. I have found them for a fantastic price too. £512 for a pair!
Is that the Pro's or the Pro Surf's, the Pro's are the older version, of which I had a pair some time ago. ?

One of Terry's finest wands, a fantastic allrounder. But you wouldn't even get one for what you would paying for two Pro Surf's.

Is that price from a local Tackle Shop, if so do it mate, they deserve our cash, I do my best to buy from my local Tackle Shop, but it is not always possible, JJ the owner of my local shop, "Last Cast Saloon" goes out of his way to give good deals, but cant always do it. For instance I purchased my AFAW rods from him, gave me a deal no online shop could match, so he had best part of £2000 off of me. Use them or lose them. 🎣 🎣

I'll give my options a ponder over the weekend and see if I can get a Fireblade GT in my hands to compare
Good luck mate. (y)

Couldn't agree more Ian. I always do my best to put my money in the pockets of my local tackle shops even if it costs me a few quid more than an online deal. They can't survive on bait sales alone and if they close we all lose out. Unfortunately that particular deal is online. The only Daiwa Tournament Pro Ive found in a tackle shop is the one I had hands on today and he only had the one. Plus he's a reasonable drive from me (I just popped in on the off chance on my way home from work today looking for a Fireblade to have a feel of). I work all over the southeast and in different places everyday.

This is a bloody good deal. Now only £219.99.Pair for only £439.98.(y)
That is a bloody good price, now, do I need a third one.. 🤣
