Advice Trident tackle ?

I haven’t bought any but I was kindly sent some bits by a mate to fondle. It does seem like decent gear! I might get some but my current stock of bits and bobs won’t be running out anytime soon so it won’t be for some time. You can certainly live without it but it’s nice stuff

Tbf I’ve used it a fair bit and not had any prob with it. Cost effective and if you really want to be a tart colour code your rigs. Some say heavy rig body or hook lengths can be a problem but find I can use 80lb rig body and 70lb hook links.

Do I need it in my life?

Thought?
Yep you need it!;)
No it's great kit pretty well thought out by an angler for anglers and quality made.
Termi links are all i use now use on end of leaders only ever had one partial unclip from coming back through backwash where as had Gemini types do more with rigs dropping off along with leads when get thrown around in backwash on chesil.
I use sometimes use on rig bodies but mostly at bottom use a gemini type that came from "China" via Ebay but these are bit heavier wire and click when pass eye of lead through so positive.
Roto clips are ok do need a modding though as find often fiddly with wet hands to get hook in and closed with bait in way as find either comes out or you push unit upwards but unclips ok once cast.
Up and over bead is great works well can modd opening it out a tad more or heavier snood line.

The Pulley Bead is brilliant does everything that any other method doesn't do! No sharp/tight Radius kinky line like a Swivel etc does.
it's streamlined when underload when casting unlike the Tronix type beads etc that from side look like a fat womans ar8e with legs spread! which makes rig spin while in the air.
Address the major gripe with pulley rigs where have little resistance to a taking fish so they take it but gears sliding so miss it where as Trident line goes in on lower on one side up and back through hole above then over the larger radiused main part back round through hole down and back out other side so looks like a figure of 8 sort of thing so if something takes bait it stops line running freely so works more like a paternoster type thing while still will slide when have a fish on.

The baiting needles are good used mine other day.
Not tried the Kicker yet.

But if smart/savvie! you use the colours for rig choices etc as i use Green for 5oz leads and yellow for 6 and so on.
The other bits can colour code for how tied rigs up yellow termi/ up&over/pulley bead for say 30lb snoods and so on.

I buy as want to support and see it grow as an English company making in UK for us rather than some fat shareholder that is only interested in cash and supporting China!

So us it or loose it!

Can always use the pulley in a running up n over rig m, again that bit of resistance to see bites but if you want more a 5mm bead with a couple of float stops in front does the trick.

I've taken a punt and bought £25 worth for free PP.
The stuff looks fine on the website, looking forward to having a play with it.

Not really, terma link is good. bait needle is good , pulley bead over engineered, cant see the point in the figure of eight . hang over horrible, bought some and chucked the lot in the bin. Not tried the rest of the stuff but found a rig with it all on , not really for me, rig looked like a Christmas tree , probably cast like a brick . What i will say the stuff is made out of good materials .

Lol, too late, it has arrived, well made for sure.

I use all of there bits ,its very well made but to be honest I do prefer the Gemini clips ,problem is iv got loads of trident bits and there going to last years of reusing unless I start getting crack offs and losing rigs to heavy ground ,must be very honest there baiting needles are fantastic bit of kit ,well done gary well thoughtout bits

Are they worth giving them a go,Tourny seems to like em.
I bought a selection a few months back. Looks very good gear, especially for the price, and great service too. Have to confess that I've made up a few rigs but not been out to try them yet due to Covid.

Might just take a punt.
What sort of sold it to me was Mark WIlliams on Youtube. Nice guy - I like his vids, and he has done a few on rig making with Trident and Gemini tackle.
