What boots could I get?

Just remember, with Waders/Wellies always get the next size up from your normal size.

How come? Either way I'm going to pop into Decathlon today and try out some boots to (at the very least) get an idea of sizing.

I just wear similar lace up high ankle boots as I wear shooting, Alt-berg, Aigle, Hi-tec or Maver.

Same - in fact I wear trainers as much as I can because they're comfy and light. I carry around hiking boots in case it gets too cold or need to access the water to return or clean a fish BUT I'm thinking wellies would be way better for easier access to the water (and they may be lighter than my boots).

UPDATE: tried a bunch of boots - from cheap to very expensive - the simplest (and cheapest) where my favorite!

Contrary to popular opinion I do NOT like heels AND it's the main reason I like these - they're very flat. The Vass boots look the business BUT not sure when I'd get the chance to try them. So I'll go for these cheap simple ones and see how it goes. Thank you for your opinions and advice!
