Ended up swopping a big beach mk2 to use on cliffs for self as is not going to have easy life and save my other rods from certain death which mentioned on another thread, so that was me sorted for the Alvey and cliff, but will get son and air a 435 lite and get to use though will probably end up with it eventually and in truth was not on radar for job in hand.XXX has always been called the darkside on here.
So after all the research its a maybe! I guess its fairly safe to conclude if its only a contender its not a stand out .....
I dont like the zucron range myself I have lobbed a couple and have found them completely unremarkable.
I also hate this no badge of origin thing that goes on what are expensive things.
Why not put made in China on then "if" thats the place of manufacture? Then they can go on the shelf next to the British, Italian, Japanese and other rods and consumers can add that knowledge to their decision making process......
Whats the secret, let them be judged on a level playing field.
Thanks for good infoCast my mates xt435 tournament with the standard tip and gt, with the standard tip the rod felt very similar to a zziplex m427su, very smooth, well balanced quick recovery, gt was nice, but never been a fan of gt rods for casting. Very powerful rod but very usable. My normal rods are century t1200 and t1000 and ttr. Was very impressed for what they cost.

Lot of lads fish with the zulcrons for the cod fish in winter up here and owner well known and liked so not going to sell crap and I believe always said that his aim was to bring to market a good but affordable and reliable range of rods and from what I understand has succeeded. No, i wouldn't swap my t1000's or t1200 for a zulcron, is as good as an m427su no. Su has a far better fishing tip and well proven on the field. But if someone is on a budget is isn't too far behind. Just my opinion
Couple of T1200s for sale on Gumtree at home a few days ago. Ithink he was asking £380 each, but doubt postage was an opton. Way out of my league.Good first post, heres a question.
Would you swap your T1000 or T1200 for a Zulchron?.
