Did trying fishing, erm, might be Barmouth? In north wales once, looked a decent beach but the sea was full of eel grass, had to give up after a couple of castsYea we dont get loads of surfers and its free parking no more than hundred yards from the beachThey are great beaches for Smalleyes/Bass/Turbot and dont get loads of doggies bothering you
Barmouth is a little further up the coast but not far away and in my opinion not a patch on where i fish, the Welsh shore caught Turbot record came off the beaches i fish, think it was around 10lb, my best was just under 4lb but had quite a few around 2lb, had Smalleyes into double figures.
Rafts of weed travel past you on certain states of the tide on a few beaches along that coast, may aswell reel in for an hour while they pass and go home before they come back past

Not sure if it was actually Barmouth, it’s basically all the same beach isn’t it?
