South Coast Portland wrassing

I wrap a few turns a 10lb line around the pebble then stick it all down with loads a electrical tape, not ideal for casting to the horizon, but ok for a good lob, getting right size ones for the tide is the pain.
I’ve tried wrapping with line. Tbh not keen on putting plastic out there, although I appreciate it’s a drop in the ocean.
But my thinking is at least wire will corrode away.

Always found float fishing for wrasse more productive especially with ragworm
Cheers Via! Yes, I agree, to be fair. We were sitting on the whole live crab baits in the hope of something a bit larger.

With a bit more time on another day I’d probably dabble with a float rod as well as, or instead of...
