Some of those crabs was peelers! Reddish types are long way off but those greens with a pattern are going to peel soon
Possibly some were a bit there as they had some orange goo in.
The red/orange are makes I believe?

The orange red ones i can see are all females so wont peel till later once cocks have peeled so later they will go more green
Cocks peel first then the Hens.

Yep normally but they change colour before peeling. Cocks ha\/e a narrow triangular flap underneath. Hens are broader. Most of those cocks would peel during the next month or so, ready to fight for the females when they start moulting

Ah okay, I didn’t check their flaps!

They were all caught in the same spot and still feeding so must have been early days for any starting the moult?

Yep their attitude is normally a dead gi\/e away although you can find loads ready to peel under the same rock
