Advice New Rods Advice Needed

In the very unlikely event that maybe the online shop has got hold of some blanks and been built instore by someone who doesn't have a clue what they are doing would explain the poor finish and the blobs of resin.??

Ian.

Oh dear, that's not like Century, their rods are normally excellently finished, and their quality control is second to none. (y)

Ian.
Yeah I'm sure there must be a good explanation for it

Could be but it was quite a big name online store. I won't name it here as I don't have all the facts and that would be unfair

@Cwab I'm starting to wonder if this is your own Fishing/S&M Youtube channel that you're trying to promote 🤔 🤣
Having just planted out some nice leeks have been considering the concept of fishing/s&m and have thanks to your inspired suggestion considered the two pastimes very similar, and maybe fishing and flagellation (f&f) could be a classic not unlike the mr Crabtree series but given a more modern edge with mr Crabtree obviously no longer smoking a pipe 🤔😂😂👍

🤠

Is the shop quite local to Steve..?

Ian.
About 25mins away but they only have one in stock. Went and had a look today and it feels quite nice. A little heavier than I was expecting but probably because it was the 14ft. Glass tip felt nice. Finish on the rod was quality, none of the issues that other guy had with his. Definitely gonna go for the Fireblade GT now, just need to decide if I go for the standard rods or pay a little extra for the custom ones 🤔

Cheers for the heads up mate but you're right Wales is a bit of a stretch from Kent unfortunately. Watching those YouTube videos you posted I would be VERY nervous of going around someone's house to buy secondhand waders now 😬 😆
