In fairness to our Eastern European chums its only really us that doesn't eat them, and that's a fairly recent thing. Monks used to breed them for food in ponds at the monasteries.

I'd like to take more photos 'on site', but as I've destroyed two phones by falling in the sea, I now keep it in my bag for safekeeping. It's too difficult to grab it out quickly enough to snap fish with mucky hands, I'd end up dropping it in the sea!
