It's happening.

Yep, do love them filling the lay-bys at night then getting parking banned, but hey ho 🙄

No offence intended for the OP but camper vans aren’t the most popular visitors around here…
Not popular in a lot of places but like a lot of things it's a minority making a bad name for the rest.

Think I mentioned before that I'm going to buy a motorhome and go traveling around the UK and Sweden/Norway. Well it's happening soon so will be looking for advice/recommendations on possible places I can park up overnight and fish. Will have loads of fishing stuff to sell on as I can only take so much with me and will post stuff here in classifieds. Be nice to too meet a few members on my travels so I can put faces to names either for a beer or to fish with.
Try this app, park4night, some good spots and recommend places, I check Google earth when I find somewhere gives a better idea of area and distances to walk. Enjoy I do🎣🎣👍

Yes I have the app and also have Tom Tom Go Camper Max sat nav, this you can input the dimensions of your vehicle so you don't get sent down roads that are too narrow or have bridges you won't get under. It's also pre programmed with campsites which you can add to. If you link it to your phone it gives live traffic updates and as you approach filling stations it displays the fuel price before you go in.

Been with my daughter, son and grandkids for Christmas and New year then a couple of nights in the new forest. Left today and gone down to Dartmoor but the weather is awful, thick fog and now wind and heavy rain. Don't know what the fishing is like down here but a mate has come down to fish the river tavy.

Yeah crossed the Avon and tavy on way down and it's not looking good. The beaches are going to be too rough to fish and well I think.

Yep, attempted to fish the Torridge for flounder today, raging chocolate soup full of trees 🙄

Tbh wouldn’t even gone had I known, but I hadn’t appreciated quite how much rain fell overnight until I drove over the Taw this morning.

By then it was a case of I was out anyway so I’d give it a few hours but I knew it was gonna be a hiding to nothing.

The winds have swung north again so if you’re around a few days, the north coast will be rough until maybe Wednesday, Thursday looks okay albeit very cold.

East or south Devon beaches would be fishable in a northerly or you might pick up mackerel, herring, etc off Brixham breakwater

My mate has gone in to tav town for a look at the river but I'm guessing a lot of the river is private or club water .
