Maidstone Angling is where I used to get alot of my freshwater gear, never realised it was good for sea angling also. Good to know there's another close ish shop to use for sea gear 👍

Only one in deal now which is on the pier just at the entrance , is a good shop that has all the essentials just trying to find somewhere worth going for a bit more than just the essentials , I know everything is available online nowadays but sometimes is nice to see and feel stuff before you buy
 
I know what you mean, back late 90's early 2000's I used to pop in to Torbay angling, a huge dealer & mail order store at the time with double page ad's in the magazines, but the owner decided to concentrate on his gun side, Sportsman Gun Centre now the largest UK dealer.
Then there was Exeter Angling another huge dealer, but they never reopened after lockdown.
When I was in the RAF we had to visit Scotland a couple of times a year, so I'd spend a few hours in Glasgow Angling now the fishing mega-store, what a place that was !!
Sadly none of my current local shops can hold a candle to any of them.
 
Alternatively pop over to Bass Pro shops on the other side of the pond, not far from Leon, alternative go online and search fleabay.
