I always link it to questions like this. I remember when I stumbled across it. Like a rig porno magWell reminded Olllie that PSF rig guide is a good resource for those seeking info.
(I generally use just two rigs a 3ft plus clip down pennel and an up and over pennel as these work for what I'm doing - fishing bigish worm baits on 5/0 or 6/0 hooks, often at distance, over clean to light mixed ground)
There is a good reason for thatpulleys have fallen out of fashion with most anglers up north.
Have a look at @kevothefish's Rig website Phil, if you haven't already. You could always buy 5 rigs for around ÂŁ10, and make your own in future using Kev's as a start. Thanks everyone
Probably because they can’t afford them..There is a good reason for that
Now you come to mention it......naw try againProbably because they can’t afford them..
I use these heavier wire ones for my running up and over rigs as I find the gemini big bait clip a tad flimsy.I use the gemini rig clip with the longer leg as I was having issues with the standard one, it would disengage in flight.
What is this uptide thing that you speak of..??I don’t get the fashion thing and or different bite detection between the pulley or up’n’over rig as if fished uptide as most anglers Would? the bait on either rig would be nailed to the bottom well away from the weight anyway, surely?
I’m giving a variation of the bagnall bar a go for my ray fishing this year to see if that fairs any different?
