I normally fish on hayling island, which do you prefer for beech casting, i use Nylon ultima F1. i use 25lb line on the standard spool's for fishing the channel and
18lb on my spare shallow spool's for the sea front, mainly for a little more distance, are there any benefit's in using braid on the shallow spool's as opposed to nylon line.

I tried braid on an older reel for beach casting - endless tangles & wind knots. Went back to Asso Mono and no further problems.
Respooled the same Braid onto my lure reels and it's been fine. I have bought another spool of Braid to try on my newer Surfcasters but haven't loaded any yet. Not been able to wet a line for over 12 months due to health issues.

I use the f1 and its incredible stuff. I use braid for carp fishing and hate the stuff.
Braid will give you better indication, but on windy days etc you run the risk of wind knots. I do use braided leaders though, no stretch so all the power is going into the rod.

I always use Diawa sensor mono and have done for the last 40+ years, never had a problem until I hooked a ferry out of Newhaven, no chance of bring it in. (n) ;):ROFLMAO:
