Impact shield

Ok made a 2 hook cascade rig with the impact shield.. looks like will work well.. everything releases nicely in a dry test.

However one thing that may throw a spanner in the works is the Friction of the rubber tube...

I live in very hot climate and the rubber will most likely get sticky (and deteriorate) very fast.

Will test it on hot beach asap

Does anyone have experience using it in hot climate ?
No, but if you used Silicone tube, it should be OK. Silicone is used for a lot of bakeware nowadays.

Shouldn't be a problem unless they are out of the water for a long time ... they don't get hot in the water.

Just sitting in tackle box will get sticky.. lots rubber stuff and rubber coated stuff I have here just crumbles.. including soles of my shoes.. just fall off sitting in cupboard.. try to keep what I can in aircon room..
Anyway will.see how it works out.. so far am liking them... as you mentioned couple times on here.. I made sure bead is right on top of shield. In fact I used breakaway sliding crimps to set it all up so I could get tension right and also if I need change snood or hooks will be easy to adjust lengths to fit
Seems to work Well.

Put the tube in your fridge at home if it's that bad, though ultraviolet is worse than heat I think.
