Something that will handle large fish + a lrf rod & reel. Covers all bases.

Cape verdi is marlin town! You need to speak to olaf hes the man!

Either that or Olaf is a twin. Anyway C Verdi aint marlin town, a lot closer places with better marlin fishing
Maybe a Hank Marvin :ROFLMAO:

So the big game locations have been changing with late showing of marlin and tuna in the canneries to big game skippers chasing new locations where fish have moved to. So much so that your cape verdi that in your words “IS NOT A MARLIN TOWN!!” was chosen for the marlin world cup and set new records. Olaf the chap i mentioned is probably the biggest dog in this game with people like anthony from bad company asking his for advice on the bad companys world tour. IMG_0820.png

You hold your tongue dolt. I said C. Verdi aint marlin town places a lot closer and I stand by it. Algarve, Canaries, Madeira, Azores. Just `cause you like a place or cuddle up to a skipper there does not make it the by all and end all. I did not say it is not a marlin town, of course you get marlin there. However "not a marlin town" and "not marlin town" are two very different things assuming you have a reasonable grasp of English, so you hold your silly replies and word salad sonny boy

Um you did say exactly that! If you look at the original post the chap said hes visiting cape verdi. So i pointed out to him that theres an incredible fishery there. You replied with “cape verdi is not a marlin town and theres alot closer places with better marlin fishing. So from someone who fished for marlin in the cannaries and the algarve and competed in the marlin cup in tavira last year. I would say that you are completely incorrect!

I most certainly did not, check my post, I wrote "Anyway C Verdi aint marlin town, a lot closer places with better marlin fishing" Aint marlin town not "aint a marlin town" You do understand the difference?

Las Vegas, New Orleans, Parts of N York could all at times be called "tinsel town" but only Holywood is the tinseltown.

Anyway not getting into protracted posts about something of no great importance. They all fish in their day NONE of them are marlin town nor is Cairns in OZ, Mauritious, Hawaii, Ascension or Kenya. In other words none of them could claim to be THE venue. Then again I`ve only been marlin fishing for around 45 years so what do I know

Try the Caribbean, you may even catch one ;)

Im guessing you’re just this type of chap. If you were in the such loop you would know that the blues hardly showed anywhere else last year! But of course we wouldnt need to let you know That due to your 45 years experience lol
