25 lb nylon

when i used braided line i found it difficult to hold bottom using grip leads on stong tides but with nylon the stetch in the line helped the lead to hold has anybody experienced the same or is it just coinsidence
It was the opposite for me - the smaller diameter braid (for the same lb) would cut through the rip. I'm really confused.

I see a lot of mono users tighten right up to the grip lead without leaving any slack. Maybe this is okay with mono which does stretch but I find it a no no with braid. I can't help but wonder if this lack of slack might account for some new to braid users constantly tripping leads as it's not a problem that I recognise despite quite a few years experience.

I’ve learned over the years not to tighten right down on mono, especially if there’s snags about, but I’d take up the slack, yes.

For me with braid, can’t say I’ve had any real issues with leads tripping but it’s just TOO damn sensitive for my taste…
