5000 FS reel

I've got two of the aerlex 10000 reels and I find them big when used on 14ft beach casting reels so they will definitely be too big for a lure rod. Go for a 5000 shimano, can't go wrong.

I've got a Shimano 3000 that I bought from J M, and I picked up a couple of giveaway Shimano 4000 reels from eBay - just the job on my Lure & Bass rods, as my lightest lure rod is rated 20-60gms anyway.

That looks massive for a 5000 sized reel.

A lot smaller than the 6000t that i use , infact their about the same size as the shimano 5000

I'd extend the budget and get a Saragosa, solid reels that will last for years with minimum maintenance.

cant go wrong with shimano, but i have just bought an akios airloop R8 to match my akios fury rod........ smashing.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Diawa BG monocoque as well.
