Had the txl version (not gt) and the tip was actually quite forgiving, showing up bites really well. Steely in the mid and butt sections. Regret selling it now!
Or the 7 ounce Anubis plus, have heard the Anubis close to the century ss which I have but the Anubis plus possible contender.

I've been waiting a while to get my hands on their GT blanks. If only to check what all the hype is about. Stan Parkes says they are quality blanks and he's a busy rod builder. I'd like to cast one myself
That is about nail on head Ian, could even have a sale and start from scratch and purge myself which is probably way to go if can bring self to do it but have a couple of old friends, one rod is really all I need.
