South Coast Windy at chisel

Great report Tats, nice pics too, well done.. 🎣 🎣

Ian.

What the actual fuck are you idiots talking about.
Heres the facts.
That car was parked in a layby on a public highway.
Not on any private road.
Not in a designated passing place.
The reason it was vandalised is simply because its owned by a fellow fisherperson.
How would you lot feel if your car got trashed on the road outside your house?.
The ownership and responsibility of the road by the estate starts 200m West of here.
Whoever was the victim they could of innocently seen this space and rightfully and legally parked their car.
This is some wanker who fancies taking on the angling community.
There is zero blame here to the motorist.
Grant and I had an issue a few years ago where we decided to take a bit of measure for measure justice.
Looks like this person is back at it, think again about your comments and put yourself in the position of this fellow angler.......

So where was she parked exactly Pete? I thought the ‘private road’ bit started where the gate is/was, a short distance from the car park? Maybe that’s wrong but that’s what I’d thought.

Obviously no, people shouldn’t be committing criminal damage but was there any reason why she couldn’t just use the car park? Perhaps she has mobility issues but usually these articles are quick to point that out!

Smashing things up isn’t the answer but I’ve seen a lot of ignorant parking along there, as far as the cottages and also along the Bexi stretch. Many were clearly anglers, some were the tent city brigade.

The private road starts 300m past the sign for a start!.
She was on the end looking at the photo. Not on private land at all.
Actually where she was parked is adjacent to a piece of land that has been covered by shingle but used to provide 6-8 off road parking spaces for people to enjoy.
The estate have undertaken various unilateral measures to restrict access.
I do have some sympathy with the estate on their property where they have an obligation but NOT on a highway that is fully maintained using public monies.
There has been nothing but unilateral further restriction of access for anglers without any consent or consultation for a decade.
But the estate did make a decision to keep the car park open at Abbotsbury and monetise it. There was a plan to lock it up because of dumping and vandalism which was inflicting cost on them.
So.... on your land do your thing, on public land feck off.
Its simple, this is a bloke who is taking on the angling community single handed.
He was at it a few years ago, hes back at it......
he needs dealing with, again.

Fair one, I don’t know it well enough to know what is public/private. if it’s a public road and bog all to do with him then he shouldn’t be targeting anglers’ cars, especially if they’re not blocking anything.

I agree completely. I went on Google maps and other sources and it's clear the angler legally parked on a public road with no restrictions. It's a blant act of criminal damage by a nearby nimby who thinks they own the road .
