Uneasiness

i could chuck a few things into this thread, anywhere from solent breezes to hayling, and up in the creeks n harbours between
weird, strange, unsettling, but , nowt compared to a grey horse that stopped me dead in my tracks between malton n pickering, walking across the road, summers evening, straight through a set of 15ft high wrought iron chained and padlocked gates!
that one fucked me right over!!
soon as through the gates, dissapeared as quick as it shown up, never , never seen anything like it
came out of nowhere, not a hedge nearby, nowt, just appeared 50yds in front of the car, halfway across the rd, and did the above

Interesting mate, fish solent breezes a fair bit, you had some strange experiences there? Not had anything happen to me personally, Al,

Super natural don't bother me. But always take something that's hard and going to hurt the living. I'd always wait for them to start it but I'm looking to finish it.

I kayak. I'm 74 and Summer and Winter - once a week - I paddle on Llangorse in the Brecon Beacons. In the Winter months I paddle alone, often I'm the only boat on the whole lake. I minimise risk as far as I can, but at the end of the day it's my choice, my risk. It drives me daft to see kids out on the same lake, on a tippy canoe, with no flotation devices and in high winds (we get gusts of up to 40mph and sometimes higher on there). What are the bloody parents thinking?
People are stupid....
Me n a mate were fishing Cogden the sea was about 2.4m.
Along trot a family of four with two kids and mum n dad help them change into their swimming gear.
We watch on in complete disbelief as dad still fully dressed puts armbands on the smallest of the two girls.
Long and short we wondered down and told him he was going in first to try it, fortunately common sense prevailed.
Have also had a couple of odd scares over the years one where someone was firing a silenced rifle over my head and being charged by an angry bull in the dark.
The shingle on Chesil can shift in the wind..... that's spooky, I love taking Ted although he's a tit he's constantly switched on in the dark and it is comforting just to know what's going on behind you.

Lordy, sounds like a fcuk show round every corner for the discerning angler on some southern coastlines and must be entertaining if free.🤷🏽‍♂️

Been freaked out a few times, but it's my own brain testing if I'm a man or not.
