South Coast Tsf meet cogden the 21st

So Gray the ray and I went looking for the clay on West Chesil hopeful of finding a few flats.
We could only get rag which is not anywhere near as good as lug and the rag we picked up was poor.
The forcast was a light NW we got down to a 20mph W.... I had taken light FS rods n braid, not ideal!.
Gray kicked us off with a nice smut....... and that was it for a bit!.
Having little confidence in the worm I decided to get the feathers out and try for some maks..... I got 2 whoppers the a load of joeys.
So Gray puts one out for a ray and bags 11.5lb of pretty undulate......
I then grabbed a couple of bass one about 3 one over 4.
And we finished with a flurry of smuts gurnards, pout, whiting and straps.
If I had blacks I reckon I would have found some sole, I know a few came out the night before.
@Dexy Smash it out there, and we were right under the cliffs, plenty of clay at 80 yards.
Nice going Pete.
I'm fishing with a mate who likes to go east at cogden but will try to persuade him to try west. Failing that a crap catch report from the east end might save a few people a walk on Saturday lol

Everythings useful Darren single black and nail it down over low, and use your biggest cast if you are planning to go round the back and through the gap go about 100m back west, there is a small 18in high hump in the clay we found when we ran the boat thru there but its long.
Be lucky n bag a whacker......

After being let down twice on bait and Tourno doing a 140 mile round trip we have now ended up with some spare blacks let me know if you want any.

My plan for tomo ( and it does not have to be anyone elses) is to fire blacks out for flats and try and catch some maks for rays n bass over low and on the flood.
Looking forwards to the social!
See you tomo!

Just got back so quick report.

Took a long walk east , baits stripped within minutes, pin whiting & hermits the main culprits, lost 3 hooks to spiders & beached a couple. Tried close in to as far as i could whack it, with lug , rag, mackerel, sandeel & squid.
Ended up with 2 small gurnard , 2 jumbo mackerel.
Didn't see anyone else fairing any better still it was a nice day out.

Good luck all & tight lines.
