Well it might be because it's a seasonal respiratory disease that fades away in the early spring, just as it has for millenia.

Take SARS CoV1, Spanish Flu, swine flu and seasonal flu as examples.

Then look at the data for the numbers of infections and actual illnesses over last summer.

Will it come back next year?
Yes, probably, but much weaker and become an endemic disease nowhere near as dangerous as it is purported to be at the moment, (by some).

Time and data will tell as I've said before.
I am not disputing your opinion.

But the numbers are and have come down and looking at weather, we ar still in winter, no where near summer.

If you have had jab and protect yourself, you are only going to get it on contact or from others.

They do protect people if all and everything is used correctly, o_Ootherwise how and why are numbers of infection coming down.

I have no problems with those who medically are unable to wear a mask, as long as the keep to the other rules.

I haven't had any 'vaccine', I've declined five offers so far. I'll wait until proper safety tests have been carried out, about 2023 at the earliest. I have an autoimmune disease, Crohn's, any mRNA buggering about with my immune system is likely to be unpredictable, do you think they have tested the 'vaccine' on thousands of sufferers long term, or indeed tested on just a few short term ? I don't.

As it is the 'jab' doesn't stop people getting it, doesn't stop them spreading it, doesn't stop them having to wear a mask, doesn't stop them having to stay away from other people. I really can't see any point in it at all.

How would anyone get it if they'd had a jab and 'protected' themselves ?
Other than the jab being of no use at all.

My post states early spring as the time that the virus will fade away.
Now in mid April numbers are dropping rapidly, as expected by some, me amongst them.

Public Health England, as you know, is the government's advisory body on health matters.
They have published a guide to the vaccine that states that they don't know if it will stop you getting Covid 19 or passing it on, only that they think it will reduce the severity of the disease if you do get it.

The long term effects of the vaccine are unknown as it hasn't had the key test, the passage of time.

Yes you did say that, but spring leads to summer (that you also mentioned) and last year not sure of figures during tat time but i do know 100% at the end of "summer" there was a 3 week Firebreak" obviously due to the spring/summer figures that were high.

I have had first vaccine, i am vulnerable, my immune system is at risk.
But imo i would rather have the jab, and stick to the rules to help me and others.

Your last paragraph, i am no expert but yes i believe the jab is not 100%, same as flu jab many have been having for years now.
Ans i would rather disinfect a supermarket trolly handle to lessen risk of passing on by contact.

I want to net some sand eels later in the season, if you think a mask traps a virus do you think if I nick the goal netting from down the park I can make my own net?
If not, why not ?

The answer to your question about the goal netting is;
Yes you can make your own net with it.

Please yourself what you think of wearing a mask!!!

The so called experts say that the covid jabs won't stop you getting it but a lot less severe if you had the jabs. I have had both jabs now and no side effects. I still isolate from shops etc and wear a mask when in a public place. If you are vulnerable then get proper medical advice, if not isolate; stay indoors for the duration - may be for ever.

I thought you would need a micro net for sandeels, goal net would have to big net the same as a gill net. Then that's only my opinion.

Obviously but he knew that.
Leading on to his next statement/question.

There's a trout fishery that I really want to visit, it's approx 40mls away, and I fancy a trip down the A1 to St Abbs it's roughly 50mls.

Go and have a go.
Do you keep any or just sporting ticket?

Well, that went right over your head didn't it, a cotton mask has a mesh size relative to virus size it's equivalent to a goal net to catch sand eels. It will not, that's the point. Same as not putting up a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes.

It's getting boring now. You don't think masks work but it's the rules that people have to wear them because most experts think they may help a bit. Get over it and move on!

Last year the experts told us that they didn't work and not to bother. It's there in black and white.

I don't think it's up to you to say which posts are boring, or to tell me what to do.

I like to take a few home if possible. The fishery will be a new one to me. £20 for a 6hr 10 fish limit ticket. Stocked weekly with rainbows, browns, blues and tiger trout up to 20lb. I usually fish fly only waters but this one is a mixed fishery and I can use my LRF setup, a 3lb+ trout will feel like a mega monster on such light gear. ?

That's cheap i was paying that around here 10 years ago (not done any since then) £20 would get you an all day ticket for about 3 fish.

A 3-4lb trout on my Reddington Redfly rod felt good scrap.

Just put a Drennan 9ft river /lake fly rod for sale on one site, that is a light whippy rod and a 3lber would double it over.

that sounds great value warby72 . local one to me is £45 for half a day taking 3 fish ffs!!
