South West Too rough to fish

I decided on a last minute lure trip lunch time today after seeing it would be dry this afternoon, and only 18mph winds I thought ideal for bass . On the way there the omens did not look good ,
but I carried on , I am not scared of voodoo. Then I saw this this and thought shit I am going home .

so a blank trip , I left home at 12.30 and got back at 3.00

The swell was massive , I tried a 30gm seeker and it wasn’t really sinking with the wind and the swell it was to much for me .

That must have been the biggest I have seen there even being a good 20 foot up the spray was hitting me , I got soaked , I couldn’t go any higher and it was a neap tide

But if you felt unsafe where you were, there’s no point risking it.
I hate to do it but a couple of times I’ve had to abort sessions or pack up early when conditions are too bad, sometimes you have no choice.
