I turned up at Dungeness once and set up in front of the lighthouse.
After a while it started getting foggy and this awful fog signal started. It was so loud that I had to pack up and go home

That was the sound that called the cod.
It's changed now to some god awful electric beep

It was an electric sound, not the old compressed air low tone. This was high pitched.
