Rod bells..

If I see someone fishing with those bells clipped to their fishing rod, I just want to launch it in the sea like a javerlin - simples.

I’m seriously thinking about buying some just to piss other anglers from pitching up to close to me
Just wear a fluorescent yellow mankini and pace backwards and forward around your rods arguing with yourself out loud using plenty of foul language, always does the trick for me. On the rare occasion it doesn't I check my phone and if signal is poor do the above but wave a machete around , that gets them running often leaving thier fishing gear behind.

I quite like the sound of a foghorn. just so I know when anyone else on the beach is getting bites!
I turned up at Dungeness once and set up in front of the lighthouse.
After a while it started getting foggy and this awful fog signal started. It was so loud that I had to pack up and go home 😳😳🙀

We came back from France on the big Pont Aven ferry in the fog. Thought the fog had started to lift a bit so went up on the top deck for a look just as she was coming into port. The fog hadn't lifted much and they were still sounding the fog horn - we were stood right below it!

Come on lads!

It could be a blind angler and the bells are the only way they know if any fish biting. 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️
Are they hells bells I wonder?
