Penn casting special

Well I bought a fathom 12 for 133 quid, I'm thinking the handle doesn't quite suite the size of the reel ,and you have to wind the clutch a long way before it bites, but the rest seem great I'll have to wait till boxing day before I try it out.

Maybe the clutch will improve with time, it's not something I faffe around with anyway.

Get yourself a Penn Paddle handle from Russ (BlakdogTackle). Makes a big difference to the reel.

Not all of it, I've kept T900's,daiwa tournament pro surfs and reels to suit, plus kept two lure and two fly rods.

Can only second this- bought the dual handles from Russ and they totally change the way the reel feels- like a beefed up 7ht.
