I don't think Russ would agree with the Turbos being the best 7ht's..I much prefer the handle on my blue mag.
I still think the turbos were the best 7HT daiwa made. I’ve still got two, but they are for field casting only, as it’s only really the spool and bearings which aren’t knackered.
Ah, the 6HM's, very nice reels, converted a pair myself back in the day.602P for me and a 7ft boat rod. It was a revelation when I strapped a 6HM on and was able to cast the length of the local football pitch.

I have a brand new turbo in its box somewhere and a new shimmy speedy 2cfs. Bought the pair from a bloke in Brighton a few years ago.I much prefer the handle on my blue mag.

I think I have one boxed new a minter and a used but good one.
I’ve got three 400s. They all look battered, but run superbly.
I chucked some ceramics in one with three blocks and whacked it so smooth..... lead went miles but reeling in was proper wankers cramp!
again a reel genuinely made in Japan during the golden age of Jap engineering.
I’m tempted to buy a pair of these for my bass rods. I’d have to look after them as they ain’t cheap.

They are pretty though....
I still have an AP - used it last year. Bit noisy though...At the age of fourteen when I started beach fishing i had a Mitchel 600p, if you could use one of them none of todays reels hold no fear..
