Most underrated bait..

For me, razor clams after a blow can be hard to beat, but see them seldom used among other anglers on the beaches I fish. What have you found to be a very underrated bait that doesn't get used enough?
As not being able to get any bait i bought some frozen razors from Morrisons to take with me.

I fished 2 different locations and never caught anything with them

I suppose it all depends on many factors with different baits at different times and locations.

Have you tried them in areas where you know there are razor beds, or where razors get washed up/dumped after storms? Yes definitely mate, many factors some I'm sure we'll never understand, tight lines,

If for human consumption I wonder if they may have been washed in something other than clean sea water.
I've caught with them from a boat.

I was just about to say the same thing - no idea how much it matters - given the option I'd rather use unwashed bait to retain the most amount of natural scent.

HOWEVER - I've caught a lot using washed razor clams so there goes my hypothesis.

I use bluey a lot for bass and have good success with it, but a lot of people just seem to stick with squid or worm…
I've had a few bass on bluey last year, including 2 x doubles. Amazing really as I wasn't targeting bass and both times I thought I had congers on the end 😂
