South West Minehead July/Aug

Always worth having a chat with Craig in the kiosk on the harbour or Steve at west coast both have good knowledge of the area and the fishing. Watchet harbour wall throws up some decent fish at times.
I THINK Craig might have left but not 100% sure on that, only what I thought I read on Facebook.

@tdxs133pm if you do Facebook, ask to join the Minehead Sea Angling private group, that’ll give you more up to date catch info.

The harbour wall chucks up some fish too actually. There’s a 9lb thornie on there right now.
I’m not a fan of easy access marks as I don’t go fishing to fish in a group but it’s not actually a bad mark on its day.

Plenty to target all along that stretch of coast, mostly mixed ground and low water fishing casting over rough ground onto clear patches.
Local knowledge would help a lot.... Think Craig may be guiding by then.... Well worth paying for a session.

There are some highwater marks, but prob be very busy that time of year.

Squid or crab works well and can be bought from West Coast & kiosk... Worm may be patchy during the week though.

Hope that adds a bit to other posts ?

Can’t wait till the beginning of May for a week up there. Fingers crossed had to move dates 3 times for some reason ?

Careful them seaton lads are a bit strange at times. And all that heavy breathing is from their walks back from secret blanking spots?
