Do you buy your tackle in bulk or bits and pieces as and when?

Have recently been buying in bigger quantities from VMO using a 15% discount code (downloaded the catch app and pay £3 a month to get a few discounts).

My local tackle shop has a few bits of what I like but it's slightly higher in price- I buy all my bait from there and rods/reels but they don't have the hooks and line I prefer to use.

Spent the day making 60 rigs and used the last of what I had so will need a resupply soon.

I don't buy tackle in bulk as I'm not able to fish very often.
Most of my bits & pieces come from eBay shops, some local and some of the bigger ones with an eBay shop like Veals & Glasgow Angling.
Awaiting a delivery from Basstastic of a couple of the new SG Surf Seekers and SG inline single hooks.

Every thing I buy is in bulk , all my rig bits and pieces are brought in bulk I must have 1000s of Gemini bits and bags of power swivels and box’s of hooks spools of line in box’s I buy it all from veals , it’s a big saving really because if I was to buy locally I’d have to pay petrol , parking fees ( £4 hour) and time and local dealers just don’t have what I want , I’m not knocking them but they just don’t suit my needs

Right fussy git then..?..😎
Feck you , I have the right to be fussy I like and need top quality things , rods , reels , lines , and anything else in life I’ve worked hard for what I’ve got , I’ve provided a good life for my family and if I can’t treat myself to something of good quality then there’s something wrong, ,,, some of us work hard and deserve a decent life , don’t take the piss out of me for my beliefs and hard work , because I’m the wrong one to take the piss out of

Actually he's voicing his opinion and fundamentally he's right.
There is a fine line between humour and piss taking and some weak wierd wankers on this site cross the line with boring pleb like regularity.
The odd thing is generally we all know they are complete wankers.... in this case Mike's decided to bite. Why not I say he entitled to say what the fuck he likes especially when he contributes decent fishing related content to these pages and other just sprout the same old bollocks endlessly.
So.... go Mike!
For me this brings up the case for the two way ignore button, where the poster can ignore another forum member but equally they cannot see content posted by the other member.
It would stop this shit in its tracks.... basically some people would walk away because they are excluded by the majority, it works on Facebook and other social media platforms so why not here?.

Thank you Peter, I thought you was just about to give me a bollocking

No mate... never against someone sounding off.
I don't like it when someone's being stupid and posting shit.
I have had my battles on here but never when someone's saying how they feel, for you it's what you feel therefore your entitled to say it.
Ultimately I like your postings Mike, your a decent guy in person too.
We all know the idiots on this site, sure they are noisy but actually if they dropped dead tomorrow no one would notice.

Buy most of my stuff on line both in bulk and when I need mostly from veals but not exclusively and never bother with my local ( 25 miles) tackle shop as they will not have what I want mostly as they did over a decade ago.
Same goes for bait, can source better elsewhere and quite honestly don’t know how some shops keep going which is a pity but a sign of the times.🤷🏽‍♂️

As I said before, I buy most online but also try to buy online from local shops and reputable dealers.
I could go to some of the local shops in person that I buy from on eBay, but that involves getting Jeepy out and using fuel, plus possibly having to pay to park, and maybe |(with breathing issues) have to struggle walking some distance to get to the store.
So much easier to ensure the P&P is reasonable, and buy online from home.

Bit of both for me too. Local shop doesn't always have what I want. Don't do Veals any more though. I'd like to but their website is too clunky and slow.

Just bought a full set up. Not a huge amount for some but enough for me.

Local, veals, AD, and Glasgow AC. Price and stock. Being the two reasons for buying from where I did. Rather not use AD but no one close to the price of the reels and no one else I could find had a salt rest at the time.

Bits n bobs I'll buy local. Bulk I'll get Web prices and see if local can match or beat it.

And a course of happy pills..💊 ..🙄

I just buy tackle when i need it.

Saw a Penn Bass rod and reel in local tackle shop for good deal, but did not like reel.

Looked on line and bought same rod for similar price, so just bought it from there.
