Fishing ban

here we go again ... usual stupid anti-At crap from people who know no better. Ever thought of maybe getting involved if you don't like the way the AT do things?

This is no better .. https://www.talkseafishing.co.uk/forums/threads/the-at-tuna-announcement.1831/

Angling will die while you are all busy slagging anybody that ever gets involved in anything.

That's me done with this site .. just sick to my back teeth of seeing people continually slating instead of trying to improve things.
Generalising a bit Russ? I've never posted any comment against the AT - please don't tar everybody with the same brush.

A small number doing a little or a large number doing nothing, which is more effective?

Like the AT or loathe them the othe option is get out there and make a noise yourself.

Err, I did ?

But it was my view formed after a long period of AT watching, plus the pretty poor attitude of certain AT reps on the other side.
A bit unfair? Possibly. A wrong view? Maybe. It’s only my opinion, others see it differently.

But that’s the thing with forums, we all have different views and we can’t all be right.
A lot of it is just like someone spouting off in a pub, you don’t have to listen.
People are free to disagree with me (or whoever), say why or just ignore me.

I don’t really understand why, when confronted with views they disagree with, people feel the need to storm off in a righteous huff, say they’ll never use the site again etc etc.
It really is toys out of the pram to me and doesn’t really affect anyone except themselves, as they’ve deprived themselves of whatever it was they gained from the forum.

As you rightly say, everyone has a right to their own views but I got the feeling from Blakdog's comment he was accusing everyone on here of being anti-AT.

Well, obviously I can’t comment on what opinions he holds but it seems to me he saw some anti AT comments (yes, including me, but it’s my opinion and I’ll stand by it until or unless someone can persuade me otherwise) and as you say, branded the whole site with the same brush.

I never really understood why if people don’t like a comment on a forum, they can’t either tell the poster so, or simply scroll past or put them on ignore.
The ignore function is actually very handy because if what someone posts winds you right up, you can simply blank them out and carry on enjoying the parts of the platform you do want.
I know you prefer to see what everyone is saying, which is fair enough, but it’s a useful tool if people want to use it.

My 'manual' ignore system works fine! There's quite a few on there now!

I've not got anybody on ignore. However I know that I'm on Concretes, possibly on beaches and may now have made it onto Trampster. ?
Nah Warbs, you've got a green light! ??

Maybe people wouldn’t knock the AT so much if they weren’t such a self appointed bunch of useless pricks that continually seek to self promote themselves as the saviours of all angling, whilst constantly declaring themselves as angling’s ‘governing body’! Elected by whom??? I didn’t get to vote, despite buying a licence for the last 46 years!

Just my opinion mind.

How dare you have an opinion! ???

Right that’s it, I’m leaving this site and I ain’t never coming back.

Never!

Never ever! ?

So nuh!
