I'll check. Also have 3 Shimano Super Baitrunners 10000 XTEAs and 3 Shimano Aero Baitrunners GTE 8000B all with spare spools and immaculate.GTE's?
I always wanted a set of them, I had the 6010s. A nice pair of 5010s would go nicely with them, but with a baby due in 4wks, I have to save some pennies. At £30 a pop, I was happy.Still have a set of 3 Shimano Aero 5010s twin handle in prime condition that would suit those rods.
Hopefully they will do the job, they probably won’t get masses of use really, they won’t replace my main set up of Fox Torque rods and Fox EOS 12000 reels. These Okumas are for my diddy 9ft Kodex rods that I sling in the boot when travelling/camping. Or if I’m fishing a canal or river for carp. I use them for quick day trips so I don’t have to drag the full hold-all out. As 80% of my carping is overnighters, they shouldn’t get too abused hopefully!Good luck with the Okuma reels. They seem super smooth and sharp when first purchased but my experience with them is that the gears just don't last once you start putting any sort of strain on them. I stick to Shimano now.
I'll not upset you by telling you what I paid for them new many moons ago.I always wanted a set of them

Nice fishing well doneAnother day, another venue, another set of challenges. Yesterday was a silty, disused reservoir, today was a small, snaggy old gravel pit View attachment 34717fishing small pva bags, 1oz leads to 5” braided hooklinks fished tight to the reeds. View attachment 34718Managed a lil un and a few 5-6lb bream
You would be 3 foot deep in silt on my lake solid bag the size of a sock with 2oz lead sits you right on top, no clean gravel or ground apart from margins1oz leads……? i dont use anything smaller than a 4oz lol.
Well done on getting a nice one

I tend to use 3 3/4oz leads on my “usual” lake and set up. But for these recent trips I’ve been using the 9ft 2.75lb t/c Kodex rods that don’t have the backbone to fish leads much larger than 3oz as a plain set up. With a pva bag, the casting range/accuracy is diminished. Dropping to the lil korda 1.1oz leads, makes it all much more balanced. The hook holds have been solid too, equally as good as those with the 3 3/4oz leads, this may be down to the fact I scale everything down when using such a light set up, dropping the hook size down from my usual size 4s to a hook pattern of 8-10. Not any hook pulls so far, fingers crossed!1oz leads……? i dont use anything smaller than a 4oz lol.
