Circle hooks.

See lots using circle hooks for dongle rigs but 2/0 to 5/0 appears to be the big sellers. Does anyone use them in small sizes like 2's and 4's either conventional multi hook rigs or mini dongle style.

I use 2/0 on 2 hook scratching rigs with a 40mm dongle, there probably as small as I would go

Thinking more if 2's and 4's would help prevent deep hooking with dabs, flounder, place and sole.

I would just give it a go got nothing to loose

I've used circles down to size 4 (Mustad Demon circle extra fine wire) for mini species when scratching in boat matches, but never used a dongle & no intention of starting now the place for bait is on the hook, especially when they're just nibbling at it.
