    Who had/has these iconic reels.

Yep sorry 7HT, belonged to the station Angling club, used it a few times, before buying my own kit, mid 1980's. didn't like it as I was used to reeling left handed, so bought a 6001

Postie must have been whilst we were out!

I'd give em a coat of vehicle clear-coat/lacquer, aerosols sold at any motor factors

    Advice Fishing line/Shock leader colour?

I use different colours on each reel, because it's easier to un- 😁 tangle, Never noticed it make any difference to bites.

    Cut bait. interesting presentation

I've seen it, (or something very similar) in a book as a big game bait under a balloon float, It's not a flapper, the spine is left in place for better presentation up the line, while opening the flap on one side allows for a better scent trail. Might be a nice bait to cast for tope & huss.

What's that going to be, 10pm ish ? Unfortunately I woke up to the unwelcome joy of Gout in my right foot, so today was a non starter, tomorrow looks unlikely, & I'll have to play it by ear for Thurs on

    Grip Lead Storage?

Why ?? at the start the towel is clean/dry, at the end they're wrapped for the trip home, the towel goes in the wash & the reels are rinsed, serviced & go back in the tackle box wrapped in another clean/dry towel.

Anyone know how either are fishing at the moment ? Thinking of a trip either Tues or Wed (8/9 Apr) and get free NT parking as a tenant.

    Grip Lead Storage?

glandyman beat me to it, "Vanish" screw top wash powder tubs, I use the 1kg size in the tackle box, they can hold 8-10 leads, for the "bulk store" at home I've got some 5ltr plastic buckets I got from work 20+ years ago, but they've started to go brittle & shatter, so I've bought some 3ltr...

    Your favourite estuary rod?

TBH I'd use the same rods I'd take to Chesil, Moonrakers or maybe the Kompressor lite, all are fine going down to 75g leads, & great bite detection. Otherwise I have to go down to my 11' Normark, 'Ed Schliffke rock hopper', described as a surf spinner/bass plugger.
