Imax neoprene reel sleeves are what I use

They look good! I've got FS reels though so these are a no go.

Proper Breakaway FS reel cases for my better and bigger beach reels.

I wouldn't mind a couple of cases for my FS reels BUT for example the Penn ones are ~£20 (£40 all up). These Breakaways seems better priced, I just saw these which are even cheaper but no idea about quality.

Quite a few! They’d need inpatient care if they saw mine!

I use micro fibre cloths to wrap my reels, they wick the moisture away on journey home then rinse reels and cloths and good to go again! always wondered how much salt and crap gets into the neoprene reel pouches?

I turn mine inside out and give them a rinse with the reels, they dry pretty quickly too

The Breakaway ones were about £7.00 when I bought a job lot of 6. Like everything else, inflation has taken it's toll.

Why ??
at the start the towel is clean/dry,
at the end they're wrapped for the trip home, the towel goes in the wash & the reels are rinsed, serviced & go back in the tackle box wrapped in another clean/dry towel.

I used to push them into the discarded cardboard tube one finds after using a roll of toilet paper. As for storing larger quantities of lead: I usually leave it on the church roof until I need it.
