Anyone know how either are fishing at the moment ?
Thinking of a trip either Tues or Wed (8/9 Apr) and get free NT parking as a tenant.

What's that going to be, 10pm ish ?

Unfortunately I woke up to the unwelcome joy of Gout in my right foot, so today was a non starter, tomorrow looks unlikely, & I'll
have to play it by ear for Thurs on

Fished Seatown on Sunday and totally dead in daylight albeit a nice day in the sun.
We did though go all out for ray baits and probably should have taken worm too but it wasn’t really feasible to get any

It's a welcome from me as well Chesil (y)

Seatown has been poor since the landslip.
I am quite out of touch this year but in previous years Eype has fished well around Easter.

Ah, cheers Pete, didn’t know that. Tbh Seatown is handy for me as it’s not quite as far as Chesil and is something different

Sandeel, big cast, half way along, spring tides.
Cheers Pete. Have been trying that, maybe not with the big cast (😬) but admittedly last weekend was neaps.
We kind of knew it was a gamble but shitty NE and E on this coast so with pissant tides too, figured a day in the sun and out of the wind was preferable!

Those small eyes are a bit random at seatown. Had them on all tides and sea states and on all baits! I've seen plenty come out from 40 or 50 yards in crystal clear water. If I was going to target them, I'd pick a big spring that tops out into darkness, they like to feed there at first light and last light. Perfect conditions are a flat sea but dirty water straight after a good stir up. Problem is you can get lots of dopey hounds that will pick up sand eel 😂. Bait wise, sand eel and fresh mackerel is brilliant. Anywhere you can get in on the beach you've got a chance. I've had 6 in a session in front of the stream, likewise 6 in a session down by the land slip. Fish one close, one long. Eype (as Pete said) and Charmouth fish well for small eyes if Seatown is busy.
