South Milton Sands

Hi all, I’m camping very near to South Milton Sands in August.
Can anyone on here advise what would be the best fish to target from the beach at this time of year?
I can do beach casting or lure fishing.
Obviously not expecting anyone to give their marks away, just after general info of what to expect and what tackle/bait/lures to use.

A mate and I fished South Milton sands (West end) - I think it was 2023. Total blank I.m afraid - not even a bite.
Not a mark I'd recommend, have a look at East Portlemouth.
I have heard of a few fish caught on lures at the Eastern end of South Milton, but I emphasise 'a few' and it's rocky so a bit of a tackle graveyard. Despite living in that area for 40 years, I've only fished it once.

Been awhile but it should offer some holiday sport. Feature of that coast is high cliffs , sandy beaches, with little access. Active, clean water, very busy during sunny days in summer. Probably plaice, mackerel, rays, wrassse, bass , chance of conger, bull huss, doggies, lobster.
