Whilst clearing out the back bedroom came across a box full of old Videos(sea fishing) at the bottom of wardrobe. Can,t even remember if i have even watched some of them lol.
Got all Ed Schliffke(Rock Hopping Mad series), Henry Gilbey(Fishing on the Edge), Clean River Fishing with Tony Kirrage -3/Phil Hyde-3/Mick Toomer-2 & Mike Ladle(Mullet Fishing) around 20 in total.
Question is ,is it worth getting some of them Transterred onto DVD or buy an old VHS to watch them on??.

Our last VHS video recorder bit the dust some years ago. At the time, I was trying to root through all of my VHS videos, as I knew somewhere amongst them was the only footage of my much loved Mum who passed away about 30 years ago.
The age of the tapes kept clogging the heads, so had to give up. VHS tapes all got packed up & shipped to France for storage.

Around 600 CD's here between us, and over 100 DVD's, and none of them get Much use these days.
So easy to find stuff on Youtube & other platforms, and just download it.
The only thing that does bug me, is we have a lot of important music videos on Sky+ and if that box dies, we'll lose the lot, as not found a foolproof way to back it up to disk yet. 🤔🤔

Get them put on memory stick.
No need for bulky dvds or ancient VHS cassette tapes.

My son brought me a vinal (record) to dvd thingy yonks ago, now gathering dust somewhere.

Wonder what will happen in future, as years ago all photos were kept, so you would have photo's of family that had died years ago.

Now everything is on phone or lap top or saved to cloud somewhere, are your children going to think when you have passed away, " i wonder where all the digital photo's are"? Or will they be lost for ever and decendants will only have some grainey black and white photo's of someone that died in the 60's a load of colour photo's and then nothing for a couple of generations.

Topwater's comment is spot on.

Some of them will be on Youtube. For example, ML's 'Hooked on Bass' is at

Search for each title on Youtube to save a load of time and cost.
