Advice Tip tape?

That's SOLAS tape. As ever, its each to their own 👍
But yes, as you say, it’s what works for the individual. I find the tape tough and it stays on forever. I’ve used a few types over the years, mainly just whatever I pick up at a shop, but still prefer this one.
Don’t think I’ve tried Mighty Bright as I say.

The dimmer rod is old hexy tape that needs replacing, the blinding white one is the one pictured above freshly done.
Too bright actually but helpful when looking at the rods across a featureless surface beach.

Yep = Safety Of Lives At Sea, so it's designed to be as reflective as possible. Suits some, just not me if there too much of it as it strains my vision and that leads to looking away and a lack of concentration. The bit I want to highlight most is the very end of the tip, hence my preferred set up. Many ways to skin that cat 👍

Good plan! You don’t want to be straining those new eyes! Talking of which, how are they after the shot blasting?
Not bad thank you, only the left eye. After last the top up blast it was job done, no need for a further check up. I have been left with some big floaters in that eye but the brain is now largely ignoring them.

I`ll expect the 10 beers as well
That’s probably well worth it considering the last rod’s appearance after I did the tip tape! I seem to have an inbuilt ability to make tip tape look very like a string of tinsel every time I attempt to apply it!

FFS it`s only a bit of sticky tape. Try this out of individual threads.
