Rig Winders

Only if t

Only if they fit you properly. , honestly I haven't seen a better rig wallet .
Basically is just a cloth / nylon pouch with some zip locks bags in it .. not even zip type zip locks?

In reality could just buy bunch of zip lock bags and keep them in a bigger zip lock

The fishing marketing people are laughing all the way to the bank with us poor guys that want to match our gear.. (I am one of them)

Yep, correct, but it doesn't stop people buying it so the manufacturers will just keep selling them. It's certainly not unique to fishing tackle but people buy brands! I have always gone for the best quality but have to admit I've bought gear because of the name first too.

Na na na, it's a colour matched cloth pouch with that all important century logo on it . Only downside is stood on the beach with my hoody, joggers, rig wallet tackle box all with century logs then you eyes wonder to my perfectly matched rods and reels sitting on the tripod in perfect symmetry your eyes focus in on the rods, what the @#Ā£@ DAIWA tournament pro.
Can't help but think cheapskate imposter.

Anyway back on track, rig wonders, bought a plastic box with ten winders ,think it was leeda ,put a three hook flapper on one winder but didn't like how bits of the rig stuck out from the winder so took it off and gave the box and winders away.

I'm going to get some sailcloth and stitch a pouch together and stick some velcro on it. Fill it with freezer bags and you can have one for 50quid.. 15 more will stick your name (or fishing brand of choice) on it
Job done

Rig winders really come into thier own for things like urfe rigs. Any long flowing trace, pop up rigs.... Anything with long or multiple hook links really. My pop up rigs are 7ft long with multiple 6ft hook lengths so are perfect for these. If you use sliders you can have different strength flouros, different hooks, different length snoods etc... They are also really handy when you want to get a bait right up off the bottom, hack them up for the perfect pop up! šŸ˜‚

Yes I was thinking would make good flotation foam for dingle dangles :)

I have a reel that makes a good rig winder when fishing :ROFLMAO:

Iā€™ve thought about getting some of these and even put them on my Christmas list in 2023, but Santa didnā€™t bring me any. Last couple of years iā€™ve lure fished for Bass almost exclusively so I didnā€™t list them last Christmas. Bait fishing the Essex coast, especially during winter, has been so crap in recent times that iā€™m seriously thinking of getting rid of my beach rods/reels/tripods etc and going 100% lure chucking through April to mid November.

Do you have an idea as to why bait fishing isn't working out but lures are?

Winter, there used to be cod on the Essex coast/rivers in winter, now usually just small whiting, small dabs and the odd flounder, which are not enough to entice my old bones out into the colder weather. I could not honestly guess why the winter months are now so devoid of decent fish.

So you find bait fishing is OK for the rest of the seasons?
