Fished over low water at Netley hoping for a Thornback , fished mackerel baits , caught one dogfish but that was it .

Fished on the remains of an old jetty very snaggy , has any one had success with rays in Southampton water?

I know they do turn up because I found some washed up in the past , but are they a rarity ?

Don’t know the area but squid bluey anchovies and prawn are go too baits for thornbacks down here mste I’d do some research if I were you buddy 👍

Nice try mate, but Netley not the ideal spot for Thornies.. 🎣 🎣

It was a long shot but close to home , someone I used to work with caught a thornie off the wall there a few years ago .
