South East Getting serious now

Im just trying to get my angling mojo going again.
Short 1 - 3 hour sessions. Sometimes messing about with the fly rod, sometimes with bait.

I could go and fish certain marks with fresh black lug and almost guarantee to catch eels, pin whiting and dogfish. Other marks with bluey/mackerel for a skate.
Im deliberately making things a challenge, trying to find that buzz again.

My favourite bait for the big 'uns and I know it can be a waiting game. You'll get your reward when they're about. Going out tomorrow for a few hours armed just with fresh frozen mackie. However rather than dropping them in at the edge I'll be in 60' of water. Who know maybe a report to follow if I have more luck.

Always remember your oldest reporrs about spikey sea rats..... sure you could 6nbait your way to a few....

I used to catch lots of bass at Galloways, always on fresh out blacks over low. This was when there were two sand banks in front of the range hut. Wade out to the second bank and pump loads of worms while fishing.
I used to pump a few blacks, stick one on a hook and chuck it out about 20 yards.
The bass were never very big, 2/3 lb and the pumping/ fishing time was under an hour.

Had a couple of lads in hysterics once screaming at me as the tide had come in behind and I was "marooned" on a sandbank.
I waded back through 2 foot of water with half of my gear, then back out again for the rest.
