South West Clevedon

Just in case he doesn't come back on for a while I can tell you that the rods are the new version Daiwa Sandstorm 13' 6" fixed spool and the reels are Shimano Ultegra 14000 XTD. The rods are a lot stiffer than the older version. The reels also do a XSD version that are silver in colour.
You got the rods correct. Close on the reels, but they’re Shimano Aerlex 10000 XTB. Not sure the budget would stretch to a pair of Ultegras!!

Are you local to Clevedon mate? I've not fished that mark much if I'm honest!

I am in Bristol so not too far away. I hadn’t fished the mark too much either to be honest. I had done a few sessions over high and blanked every time. My last 3 sessions there have been over low and I’ve caught every time. Nice place but the tide doesn’t half rip through, especially over high.

Ah you are at a different mark to what I was initially thinking, but I know where you were now.

i also prefer it over low! The tide does indeed Rip through, it's torture when there is lots of weed or fallen trees coming down channel......
