Been using Bison, stocking foot for about 4 years now, salt and freshwater, no problems mind you I binned the stupid, clunky wading boots that came with them (e bayed them actually) and have always worked just fine with hill walking trainers.

I've got snowbee the black ripstop material ... still going strong 5 years on with crab traps too just bloody stink.
So got bison for boat launching 2 years still going good. Not expensive either

For just pulling on/off quickly at boat launches, weed cutting etc then Viking pvc for me though I've also got an even cheaper set of Bison pvc and they're fine if a touch thin in the sole. For comfort and ankle support you can't beat breathables and a good fitting set of boots. Again Bison have been good as have Vision and Orvis over the years.

Edit - never bought Vass and wouldn't touch modern Ocean's even though they were the industry standard brand of choice back in my fish farming days (well Red Ball if you had the money and could find them)
